This time, I'll show you how to make a small amigurumi elephant head that you can use, for example, as a keychain.

Materials:

-  Cotton thread (Color: gray)

- Crochet hook (2,5 mm)

- Fiberfill for stuff

- Safety eyes

- Tapestry needle, a button, embroider threads red and yellow.

 Abbreviations:

mr  - magic ring

inc -  increase

ch – chain

FLO – front loop only

Sl st – slip stitch

BLO – back loop only

sc – single crochet

[ ] repeat work

hdc – half double crochet

( ) number of stitches at the end of the round

dec – decrease

 

 All the pieces are worked in a spiral, otherwise is indicated.

Let's get start!!

Head

1) 8 sc in a MR (8)

2) 8 inc (16)

3) 1 sc, 1 inc (24)

4) 2 sc, 1 inc (32)

5) a 13)  32 sc (32)

SAFETY EYES: between row 8 and 9, separated by 6 stitches.

14) 2 sc, 1 dec (24)

Fill the piece.

15) 1 sc, 1 dec (16)

16) 8 dec (8)

-- Close the hole.


Ears (make 2)

1) MR: 6 sc (6)

2) inc x 6 (12)

3) 1 sc, 1 inc (18)

4) 2 sc, 1 inc (24)

5) 3 sc, 1 inc (30)

Fold it in half and close it with 14 sc. Slst. Ch 1. Cut the thread.


Trunk

1) Make 2 ch, into the second one: 4 sc. (4)

2) to 4) 4 sc (4)

5) 3 sc, 1 inc (5)

6) 4 sc, 1 inc (6)

7) 5 sc, 1 inc (7)

Cut the thread.

Final details:

--Sew the ears and the trunk to the head.
