Materials:

-  Cotton thread (color peach, green, dark green, violet, coral, pink, and white)

-  Crochet hook (1,10 mm)

-  Fiberfill for stuff

-  Safety eyes

-  Tapestry needle.

 Abbreviations:

mr  - magic ring	inc -  increase
ch – chain	FLO – front loop only
Sl st – slip stitch	BLO – back loop only
sc – single crochet	[ ] repeat work
hdc – half double crochet	( ) number of stitches at the end of the round
dec – decrease

 

Let's get start!!

Arms (make 2)

Start with peach color:

1)     6 sc in a MR (6)

2)    6 sc (6)

3)    dec, 4 sc (5)

4)    to 10)  5 sc (5)

-- Stuff to the middle.

-- Close with 2 sc.

Legs (make 2)

Start with dark green:

1)     6 sc in a MR (6)

2)    6 sc (6)

Change to peach color

3 to 7) 6 sc (6)

-- Make 2. Do not cut the thread on second leg.

Body

Continue from the second leg:

Head

Continue from the body:

Ears

1) 4 sc in a MR (4). Sew them between row 7 and 9 separated to the eyes by 5 stitches. 

Hair

With coral color:

1) 6 sc in a MR (6)

2) BLO: 6 inc (12)

3) sc, inc (18)

4) 2 sc, inc (24)

5) BLO: 3 sc, inc (30)

6) 4 sc, inc (36)

7) BLO: 5 sc, inc (42)

 

*FLO of row 6, make 18 strands:

-[Ch 30, from the third ch, 28 hdc, sl st into the next one, sl st into the next one] x 14;

-[Ch 12, from the third ch, 10 hdc, sl st into the next one, sl st into the next one] x 4 

 

**FLO of row 4, make 6 strands in the forehead:

-[Ch 20, from the third ch, 18 hdc, sl st into the next one,  sl st into  the next one] x 6

 

***FLO of row 1, make 6 strands:

-[Ch 16, from the third ch, 14 hdc, sl st into the next one] x 6

 

Sew it or glue to the head. Leave the shorter strands in front and put the bangs to the left.

Strands of row 4 go to the left side, as  the bangs.

Sew the others to the back part of the head.

Mermaid tail

We will work it in the cocodrile stitch. Close with a sl st and ch 1 to start.

 With dark green:

1) Ch 21, joining with a sl st. Ch 1, 21 sc (21)

2) [2 sc, (ch 9, from the second ch, 8 sc taking the back loop and  closing them all together), ch 1, turn, ch 1, sl st in the first ch, skip 1 st] repeat

3) [2 sc, 1 dc through the center of the scale and the skipped stitch of the previous round] repeat

4) 1 sc, (ch 9, from the second ch, 8 sc taking the back loop and closing them all together), ch 1,  turn, ch 1, sl st in the first ch, skip 1 st] repeat, 1 sc

5) Repeat row 2

6) to 9) Repeat row 2 to row 5

10) to 11) Repeat row 2 and 3

12) 5 sc, dec (18). Cut.

--FINS x 2: with green color:

1) Ch 10: 9 sc, turn, ch 1

2) BLO: 6 sc, turn, ch 1

3) 2 sl st, ch 1, BLO 4 sc, turn, ch 1

4) BLO: 3 sc, turn, ch 1

5) 1 sl st, ch 1, BLO: 2 sc.

Make an edge with sl st, making  ch 1 in each corner to keep the shape.

*Sew the 2 pieces together (to the 2 sc side)

*Sew them to the tail, row 12.

*You can glue or sew the scales down.

 

--WAIST: with green color FLO of row 1:

1) [(1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 sc) in one stitch, sl st in the next one], repeat

 

--BRA: with violet:

1) [Ch 3, in the first ch make 4 hdc, sl st] x 2

Make and edge of 14 sl st. Add some pearls.
